Charcoal!!!

Through the drawing stages of this project I have tried to experiment with a variety of drawing materials and techniques to develop new ideas and create different effects onto the paper which I can hope to bring into my sampling stages later in the project.


One of the new drawing materials I have fallen in love with is charcoal. I have tried to use charcoal in the past, but i did not enjoy it as it smudges easily and is not easy to control. However, following my drawing course, where experimenting with charcoal is something we focused on, I have fallen in love with this flowing material which is just right for creating very organic forms in drawing.
