Smiths Row Shop - Anna Bird

Whilst on my work placement, I get a chance, everyday to take a little peek in their wonderful shop full of handcrafted object, and artwork. This is an amazing little shop which sell rather original pieces that are bang on trend.

One of the artists who stood out to my was Anna Bird, whose work has a graphic print approach.

As an emerging Textile designer I predominantly work within the realm of printed textiles. Drawing on found vintage objects I produce collages and illustrations that I then translate into printed forms. I'm challenged by exploring new processes and materials. My current practise combines screen printed surfaces with laser cutting. I have been developing a collection of printed interior accessories including wall pieces, lampshades and cushions.
