Over the summer, I took a trip down to London to visit Clerkenwell Design week, and I have finally got round to exploring a few of the designers I found particularly interesting. I will be exploring a different designer/company over each blog post.
'MARK' is a British based furniture design company creating aspects of interior design for the whole range of the interior market, from commercial to office and home. Launched in 2008 at 100% design, MARK works with a wide variety of designers to ensure that their products reflect the quality and ethical values of the company. The company creates ranges aimed at a combination of the two main approaches to interior design, creating contemporary, stylised furniture, with a bespoke edge.
At 100% design, I spoke to one of the sales people from MARK who explained their current sofa and outdoor seating concepts. The idea is a kinda, build your own, with conmpany creating a range of shapes which the consumer can fit together in a way which suits their design space, therefore playing on the idea of traditional sofa ideas, but giving the consumer more of a choice, so they can create their own bespoke design.
