As usual on a Friday, I spent the day working in a local primary school to gain some insight into the teaching methods for Key Stage 1. I think that you never have too much experience in a school, in teaching and keeping up this work once a week will keep ideas fresh in my head. I believe that this research completed onsite, in the job role, in the school setting is 10 times more beneficial to me than completing boring seemingly endless internet research!Whilst in school today, we didn't do any art, or much really related to it, but I am glad I went it because I think doing what I love at the moment is the only thing keeping me sane!! the teachers this morning told me that in the class I work with the next two topics are Dinosaurs and Australia. These are two topics I shall have to try to cover in my future plans. This way I will know that my work will relate to the curriculum through topic and I can experiment a little textiley.
