Although it is Sunday, I still need to be getting some work done, so today I did do a little, just to keep everything ticking over in my head, especially now that I have tomorrow and Tuesday off for my interview. Two days out is a lot.



I stumbled across across Julia O'Leary's work whilst on a recent trip to Cromer. Julia O'Leary is a Cromer based artist who uses mixed media to create highly textured pieces of art using machine stitching. O'Leary retired from teaching in 2000 and spent 5 years at art school gaining a BA in textiles and an MA in fine art.

I love the highly textured pieces of art based around the beach inspiration. This is a local artist, creating work based on her local environment and resources.

As usual, I spent a little time going over my weeks plan, sorting out what I aim to do in the week. Obviously, I am at an interview on Monday and Tuesday, so I don't think I will be doing so much work then and instead of a planned trip to London on Wednesday, I am going into the primary school again, to gain a little more research into planning and teaching practice. I have also booked a tutorial for Thursday to discuss the course of my work and aim to reschedule my London trip for next Wednesday. Other than that, I need to make sure I get down to some proper work this week and buy lots of large folders to organise my work!!
