Design House - Norwich

Whilst speaking to the gallery manager, she told me about her friend and neighbour who is the manager of an interior design business in Norwich. she recently said to the gallery manager that she was suprised and a little upset that no-one from our course had contacted her about the possibility of a work placement.

Design House Norwich is a shop for people who appreciate good design in the home. We set out to inspire you with new ideas and beautiful products from the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. You’ll find things you probably haven't seen elsewhere and we'll help you create a distinctive modern or decorative interior.

Design House Norwich is a specialist furniture and design shop located in Timberhill, a pleasant traffic free street in the heart of the city.

Our customers appreciate good design and want something for their home that is different to what is generally available on the high street.  Maybe they haven't the time to trawl round (often disappointing) furniture shops or browse endless websites and have been pleased to discover a local shop which offers an inspiring selection of products.

Our suppliers include leading brands such as Ligne Roset and Hulsta, but we also offer

interesting products from many small, lesser well known designers and makers.  Almost everything is manufactured in western Europe which means that much of what we have is not inexpensive, but we are well aware that people these days do not have limitless budgets for furnishing their homes.  And to help we keep prices as low as we can all year round (so you can be confident that you won't buy something from us only to find it available at a discount later).

Perhaps the most important feature of our business is the service we can offer.  This goes way beyond mere product knowledge (which after

all anyone can pick up these days from the internet) and derives from a real understanding acquired over many years.  When it's required a full interior design service is available but for clients who like to make their own choices we are happy to stand to one side and offer expert advice on colour and design only when it's wanted.

We've been much slower than we would have liked in developing our transactional website but it will be available soon.  In the meantime we hope to see you in the shop soon!
