Tracy Kendall

Whilst moving into the sampling stages, it is important that I continue to explore a variety of different contexts for  my work through artist and visual research. I love Tracy Kendall's work, which pushes the boundaries of interior design through wallpaper, often with a 3D texture and a big, bold motif, often not in repeat.

Tracy Kendall is a London based wallpaper designer whose unique and innovative wall coverings have a strong sense of British inventiveness and eccentricity.
Tracy allows her Fine Art background to drive and challenge the perception of what can be made into wall coverings often using found objects for their design qualities such as the "lace" and "stack" collections or using the found objects themselves as textures for the surface.
The wallpapers convey their design integrity without overwhelming the space, adding imagery or texture to create another dimension to the walls.
Some of the collection has graced the walls of museums such as the Cooper Hewitt in New York and has won awards at design shows such as ICFF and Decorex.
They have featured in design magazines around the world and Tracy has an international client base attracted to her distinctive and timeless style.
The papers can be used in domestic and commercial interiors where it can engage and interact with the interior's identity.
